Why Faith2Inspire?
“Faith2Inspire ~ A Journey From Pain to Purpose” was written as a testament to how my faith in God helped me embrace the love He has for me so I could learn to love myself.
Sometimes in life you’ll go through things the enemy designed to break you. However, God’s plan for you is sovereign and if you put your faith in Him, what’s meant to break you can strengthen you. I allowed myself to remain in an unhealthy relationship because I wasn’t clear about my identity and value.
I wasn’t in a relationship with a bad person, but I remained in a bad relationship for too long because I didn’t have a clear understanding of my identity in Christ or good sense of self worth. Without a healthy sense of self worth, you continually search to fill an emotional void. It causes you to search for fulfillment from others. Unfortunately, expecting others to fill that void is an unfair burden on them because it is an unattainable task. You’re looking for someone else to complete you when it’s your responsibility to achieve wholeness for yourself.
You can never truly love yourself, recieve love, or love others without knowing your true identity in Christ! Knowing who you are in Christ establishes your value and validates your worth. God’s love is a gift and the nature of a gift is that you are in receipt of something you didn’t pay for. Although you can never repay God for this precious gift, His expectation is this: Love Him, Love Yourself, and Love Others!
